Newberry to Host Oktoberfest

NEWBERRY, S.C.–On Saturday, October 1, the City of Newberry will host Oktoberfest, an annual celebration of the community’s German heritage. The free festival will feature live music, food, family activities, and local vendors. The event will be downtown from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rick Martin, Republican candidate for S.C. House District 40, plans to attend with his family, taking the opportunity to meet voters ahead of the November 8 election.

“I’ve always believed in the importance of protecting and promoting small businesses,” Martin said. “One of the best ways to support our economy is by enjoying folk events where local businesses play a major role. Oktoberfest is just one example.”
