Rick Martin Files for Reelection

NEWBERRY — State Rep. Rick Martin filed March 17 for fourth term in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He was accompanied by his eldest daughter, Jessica.

Since being elected in 2016, Rep. Martin has been a champion for defending our Second Amendment rights, improving the quality of our infrastructure, protecting the right to life, and reducing the size and scope of government. He has also been a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs.

“These are challenging times for our community. Prices, taxes and government interference continue to rise, and trust in the system continues to fall. The past few months, in particular, have been challenging for me and my family as we’ve faced false accusations,” said Martin. “But my message today is this: We will come through these challenges together.”

Martin is seeking the Republican nomination for House District 40 in the June 14 primary.
