NEWBERRY, S.C.–Republican State House candidate Rick Martin has received an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association for his committed stances in support of Second Amendment rights. The NRA grades candidates based on their voting records, or by the candidates’ responses to a NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire, for those without prior legislative service. Martin’s conservative platform, which includes decisive measures to ensure and promote individual gun rights, makes him the most gun-friendly candidate for State House District 40. Continue reading

The past two weeks have given me an opportunity to meet the good folks of our county as we usher in the Christmas season. It is such a blessing to enjoy the fellowship of family and friends, and the liberties we enjoy as Americans. It was an honor to march in the recent Newberry, Prosperity, Whitmire, and Peak parades, where we met thousands of cheerful citizens and infamous Southern hospitality.
And now, I would like to take this opportunity to pass along my family’s warmest and merriest Christmas wishes to you, and we’ll see you in 2016. God Bless.
